>> Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:         

  • Release new products into manufacturing.  Proactively interface with applications and design engineering to ensure effective and timely release of products. 
  • Transfer products to lower cost facilities without compromising quality.  Ensure new products are released with the potential transfer to other facilities in mind.
  • Create process instructions, routings, visual aids and other documentation to support local and offsite manufacturing.
  • Provide floor support to plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes
  • Design tooling, test and assembly fixtures as required for efficient production cell setup.  Maintain logs of equipment and ensure calibrations are carried out.
  • Verify drawing and bill of material accuracy to customer requirement. 
  • Initiate and implement cost saving procedures, equipment and processes.
  • Participate in the design review/product development and integration of new products into manufacturing according to the new product development process
  • Analyze work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. 
  • Manage large projects by coordinating activities to achieve project goals

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience with demonstrated achievements
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in cable or electro-mechanical assembly preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications required and experience with AutoCAD, Corel Draw, Access, Inventor, and Macola ideal
  • Lean Manufacturing, ISO9000, DFM, and Project management experience a plus
